The Celje Central Library has 15 PCs with Internet access and Microsoft Office software installed and 18 online terminals for the COBISS/OPAC online catalogue.
Personal computers
The personal computers can only be used by entering a username and password, which are the same as in the My Library system. Non-library users who wish to use the computers can obtain a temporary username and password from the library information staff. To obtain a temporary username and password, users must identify themselves with a valid ID. Use is free for library members, for non members use is free up to 15 minutes.
Printing
The library provides printing facilities for members and other users. Printing can be done from users' computers. Before printing, the user must preload the appropriate amount to his/her user account. The price of printing is defined in the Library's price list.
Web terminals for COBISS/OPAC
The Celje Central Library has 18 web terminals available for users to access the COBISS/OPAC online catalogue, the library website and its sub-sites.
The use is free of charge for all library users.
Conditions of use of personal computers and technical equipment in the library:
- Any unauthorised installation of software on computers is not permitted.
- Users are materially liable for hardware and software malfunctions and misuse caused intentionally or by negligent handling of the equipment. The Library accepts no liability for any damage resulting from the use of portable data media (floppy disk, CD, DVD, USB, portable disk) owned by the user on the Library's personal computers.
- Misuse of usernames and passwords, loud playing of multimedia content (headphones may be borrowed) and disturbing other users of public computers are prohibited.
Any malfunction or irregularity on the computer must be reported to the librarian or the staff in the library café. - Users are materially liable for hardware and software malfunctions and misuse caused intentionally or through negligent handling of the equipment.
- It is recommended that data be stored on portable media. The Library accepts no liability for loss of data.
- When the user has finished working on the computer, it is obligatory to log out, which will delete all files created during the session.
- The number of simultaneous users on one computer may be limited by the librarian in charge.
- The librarian may prohibit the use of a personal computer by users who do not comply with the rules of the library.
- The Library reserves the right to restrict the use of technical equipment intended for users and access to online content and services that:
are not properly regulated from a copyright perspective,conflict with the contractual terms of a third party providing access to licensed content or otherwise contain third party rights,
are contrary to public policy and public morality and are therefore inconsistent with the Library's mission and tasks.
