COBISS Ela offers slovenian e-books. You borrow a book for 21 days and you can borrow 5 books at once. Early return is possible (after 24 hours of the rental). You can search for e-books, borrow them and download them to your device in COBISS+ and the mCOBISS mobile app.
Conditions and rules for borrowing e-books from COBISS Ela
Loan conditions:
- valid membership,
- the member must not have outstanding overdue obligations,
- the member may not have any restrictions that affect the borrowing of e-books.
- When borrowing an e-book from the provider COBISS Ela for the first time, the member must enter login information for My Library, and the password for My Library must also be entered before reading the first e-book on the reader.
Rules for borrowing e-books from COBISS Ela:
- a member can borrow 5 e-books at once,
- the loan period is 21 days,
- you can read them on a maximum of two devices at the same time,
- after 24 hours of borrowing, the e-book can also be returned early.
- After the loan period has expired, the e-book is automatically canceled and removed from the member's records.
Devices and applications for reading e-books
Books from COBISS Ela can be read on personal computers, mobile devices and some e-book readers. To read e-books, you must first install the appropriate software.
Mobile devices
Cantook by Aldiko app (Android devices V5.0 and above and iOS V15.0 and above).
Personal computers
Thorium Reader application (for MS Windows, MacOS, Linux operating systems).
E-book readers
(with Android V5.0 or higher; eg Onxy boox)
Cantook by Aldiko app. If the reader does not have Google Play, it is necessary to install the beta version of the Aldiko Next application and also the Ela Helper application.

("Byblos" readers)
Reading the COBISS Ela e-book will only be possible on newer models that have the Android V5.0 operating system or newer, as the beta version of the Aldiko Next application, which can be downloaded via the link, must be installed on the reader. In order to be able to transfer the borrowed e-book to the inkBOOK reader in the Aldiko Next application, the Ela Helper application must also be installed, which you can download from the following link.
